Entrepreneurs and small firms create the jobs and develop the ideas that our economy needs to regain its footing. However, this innovation is not easy. The business world is complex and constantly presents new challenges. To facilitate the growth and development of local small businesses, Rep. Richmond is hosting a Small Business Summit and Expo in conjunction with Delgado Community College on August 22-23, 2012.
The event is free and space is limited.
Wednesday, August 22, 5:30 pm - 9:00pm
A panel of representatives from federal agencies and local officials will be on hand to talk about how small businesses can best participate in the federal procurement marketplace and other issues facing small businesses. This is your chance to ask frank questions and get answers to your business concerns.
Thursday, August, 23, 9:00am - 4:00pm
At the Expo, presentations will be made on topics including: financing your business, marketing your business to a federal agency, and small business assistance programs in your area. Additionally, you will have a chance for one-on-one meetings with purchasing departments of major government agencies and top companies from the area.
If you have any questions on the event, please contact Wayne Wright or Peter Hunter in the New Orleans' office at (504)-288-3777 or firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com, respectively.
