Keeping America Safe
As a member of the House Committee on Homeland Security and Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Protection, and Security Technologies, I strongly believe that keeping America and the people of the 2nd District safe is our primary responsibility in Congress.
The 2nd District is home to a wide range of critical infrastructure that must be protected. Whether it is our ports, refineries, airports, chemical plants, electrical grids, or any of the other important parts of our infrastructure that we rely on every day, I know that all of them need protecting.
As the Ranking Member of the Cybersecurity Subcommittee, I also know that, in this modern world, true protection now involves not only physical security but cybersecurity. I am committed to working every day to ensure that we put into place the policies needed to protect the rights of American citizens and the tools and the resources that are needed to protect the nation from the constantly evolving threats we face.
