Rep. Richmond Announces New Chief of Staff
Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Cedric Richmond (D-LA) issued the following statement announcing Kwabena Nsiah as his new Chief of Staff:
“I am pleased to have Kwabena Nsiah serve as my new Chief of Staff,” said Rep. Richmond. “Kwabena possesses the vast institutional knowledge, policy acumen, and tenacity needed to oversee my office staff and legislative priorities. I’m looking forward to having him on the team ready to meet the needs of Louisiana’s Second Congressional District.”
“I’m honored and excited to join Congressman Richmond’s team in this capacity,” said Nsiah. “The hard work that lies ahead presents an extraordinary opportunity to implement a strategic vision that impacts the lives of all the Congressman’s constituents.”
Kwabena Nsiah has worked in the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate for over eight years. He most recently served as the Policy Director for the Congressional Black Caucus under the chairmanship of both Congresswoman Karen Bass and Congressman Cedric Richmond. In the Senate, he served on the Joint Economic Committee under Senator Heinrich as Senior Policy Advisor and held a role in House leadership prior to that. Kwabena is a graduate of Wesleyan University and succeeds Virgil Miller, who served as Congressman Richmond’s Chief of Staff since 2011.
