In a letter sent to President Barack Obama and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Administrator Craig Fugate, Congressman Cedric Richmond (LA-02) supported Governor John Bel Edwards’ request for assistance for constituents impacted by recent tornados. Specifically, the Governor has requested Individual Assistance for Assumption, Iberville, St. James, St. John the Baptist, and Livingston parishes and Public Assistance for Assumption, St. James, and St. John the Baptist parishes. This request is necessary to provide much-needed federal resources to help people recover from severe weather that has destroyed homes and damaged communities.
