Rep. Richmond Announces $1.41 Million in FEMA Grants

Washington, D.C. - Today, Congressman Cedric Richmond (LA-02) announced $1.41 million in federal grants to repair damage related to Hurricane Isaac.  The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced grants that will be directed to the state of Louisiana for measures undertaken to respond to Hurricane Isaac. Additionally, funding was allocated directly to St. John the Baptist Parish School Board.

“Today’s grants signify continued progress in Louisiana’s recovery efforts. Every day we take greater steps to restore our way of life,” said Rep. Richmond.

FEMA grants announced today include:

  • $1.41 million to St John the Baptist School Board for Emergency Protective Measures for the cleaning of area schools

 “I am committed to working with FEMA to ensure that they remain dedicated to helping us rebuild all that was lost during Hurricane Isaac.”
